电影心理学在电影学领域里是个诞生较早的分支学科。特点是边缘性、组接性、影像性、群体性；研究的对象和内容是侧重研究电影艺术的心理机制、电影艺术家的心理结构和创作心理过程，探讨观众、批评家和管理人员的心理机制、心理过程；研究的基本原则是尊重客观事实、寻找内在联系和多学科配合；研究方法可采用观察法、实验法、调查问卷法和影片分析法。

The movie psychology is a branch of study coming into being early in the movie study. It is of a frontier, montage image and group character, it's object and way are that the special emphasis is laid on studying the psychology machanism, psychology structure and creative psychology process of movie artist and also laid on probing the psychology machanism and process of audiance, reviewers and management personnel.It's basic principles are to have a high regard for the objective facts and seek the inner links of these facts and cooperations of many branches of study. The methods of studing such as observing, experimenting, investigating questionaries and analyzing film can be used.
