On the Humanistic Values of Arts and Literature Study

文艺学人文价值的总体指向，是人格（包括文艺学家的学术人格）的审美化。这是文艺学的学科定位、文艺学原理的“真”和文艺学发展的机制所客观呈现出的学科属性。明乎此，我们从文艺学的研究对象上，便可以做到“正反互补，择优立论”；从研究方法上，便可以做到“方法多元，万变有宗”；从理论构想上，便可以做到“百家争鸣，明义是归”。文艺学的理论体系就会呈现出以人为本，以文为用，文理与人道相通的学科特色。

The humanistic values of the study of literature and arts is orientated to the aesthetically development of personality of those who are engaged in such a study, which is seen as a major subject orientation, a real principle of its establishment, and a basic attribute to its development. Based on this understanding of the subject, its object is selective and comprehensive, its methodology is multiplex and unified, and its theorization is competitive and compatible. Thus, the field of literature and arts, nurtured by humanistic spirit with literary grace, is raising to the heights of a system of theories.
