In view of the current international situation, the author refutes some westernscholars' unjust criticism of Leninism. First of all, the paper sets forth the viewthat the victory of the October Revolution conformed to the law of historic develop-ment. Secondly, it demonstrates that the outstanding contribution of Leninism to themodern world is to have opened a socialist road for backward nations and to havesystemized the dialectical theory. Thirdly, it affirms that Leninism is an organicunity of the revolutionary spirit of the age and the indigenous characteristics of Rus-sia.
