南北经济差距还在扩大

WIDENING ECONOMIC GAP BETWEEN NORTH AND SOUTH

80年代,多数发展中国家经济停滞或倒退,南北经济差距进一步扩大。这主要是西方发达国家利用不合理的国际经济旧秩序,向发展中国家转嫁经济困难的结果。90年代,发展中国家面临的国际经济环境仍然十分严峻。只有改善发展中国家经济发展的国际环境,建立国际经济新秩序,才能从根本上缩小南北经济差距。

In the1980s,capitalizing on the old,unfair international economic order,developedcountries in the West shifted their economic difficulties on to developing coun-tries.As a result,the national economy in many developing countries stagnated orwent downgrading,and the gap between North and South was further widened.In the 1990s,the developing countries will be confronted with a severe interna- tional economic circumstances.The fundamental way to narrow down the gap be-tween North and South lies in the improvement of the international environ-ment for economic growth of developing countries and the establishment of a newinternational economic order.
