摘要
印度与邻国关系是直接影响南亚地区和平与稳定的重大因素。近年来印度与邻国关系中比较突出的问题有,印度从斯里兰卡撤军问题,印度和尼泊尔在贸易和过境问题上的争执,以及印巴关系。印度新政府对改善邻国关系做出了积极的姿态,邻国也作出了良好的反应,但由于南亚地区内部各种矛盾错综复杂,邻国对印度的疑虑不易完全消除,因此印度和邻国关系的改善不会一帆风顺。
India's relationship with its neighboring countries is a majorfactor directly related to peace and stability in South Asia.Of late,some issuesconcerning such relations become more prominent,such as India's troop withdr-awal from Sri Lanka,trade and transit disputes between India and Nepal andIndia-Pakistan relations.To improve relations with its neighbours,India's newGovernment has made positive overtures which have received favourable respo-nses from its neighbouring countries.However,the improvement of relations betweenIndia and its neighbours will not be smooth-going since contradictions of variouskinds are complicated in South Asia and the suspicion of India will not be rem-oved easily.
