唐代瓜州(晋昌郡)治所及其有关城址的调查与考证——与孙修身先生商榷

On the Whereabouts of Guazhou (Jinchang Jun) of Tang Dynasty

《旧唐书》卷40《地理志》云:“瓜州,下都督府,隋敦煌郡之常乐县。武德五年置瓜州,仍立总管府,管西、沙、肃三州。八年罢都督、贞观中复为都督府。天宝元年为晋昌郡。乾元元年复为瓜州。”唐代瓜州(晋昌郡)治所位于何处?学界对此历来看法不一。向达(《两关杂考》)、阎文儒(《河西考古杂记记》)、齐陈骏(《敦煌沿革与人口》)和吴祁骧、余尧(《汉代的敦煌郡》)等先生主张其位于今安西县桥子乡南8公里的锁阳城废墟。《明一统志》卷37、《大清一统志》卷213、陶保廉《辛卯侍行记》卷5、王仲荦先生《北周地理志》卷2等则谓其位于安西县东,《甘肃通志》卷23、《重修肃州新志》、《安西采访录》等则认为其位于安西县城西南,王北辰先生(《甘肃锁阳城的历史演变》)则又指认安西县南的桥子乡所在地可当于唐瓜州城址。诸说各有其见,言人人殊。近年,孙修身先生又撰文《唐代瓜州晋昌郡郡治及其有关问题考》(载《敦煌研究》

After fieldtrippings with reference to some related literature including certain documents among the Dunhuang Manuscripts and archaeological materials, the author has made an investigational and textual study on the locations of Guazhou (Jinchang Jun) and some of its subordinate towns and other geographic features such as Jinchang County, Changle County, Heheshu, Yuquanyi, Jetingyi, Changleyi, the first beacon tower out of Yumen Pass, waters and mountains. Some discussions and arguments on the forms and sizes of the towns in the western Corridor of Tang Dynastyare offered.
