The Communication between Ganzhou Huihe and the Midland Imperial Courts during Five Dynasties

Based on related historic literature and materials picked up from Dunhuang Manuscripts, the author presents a discussion on the communication between Ganzhou Huihe regemeand the Midland imperial courts during Five Dynasties, trying to trace out the history of the communication systematically. Detailed descriptions about the routes between Ganzhou and the Midlands are furnished, special emphasis is laid on the role played in the communication by Lingzhou and the shifts of its governing commanders as well as their influence on the east-west communication.
