在美国外语教学理论的发展过程中,测试理论的发展大约经历了三个阶段。肖哈米(Shohamy,1985)将这三个阶段分别称为: (1)前科学测试阶段(pre-scientific test-ing period);
No one will doubt that the purpose of foreign language teaching is to acquire the ability of language use in actual life settings. In actual practice, however, there is a marked discrepancy between teaching and testing. While teaching tends to be more and more communicative testing remains grammar-oriented.This is wily how to improve testing techniques has become the focus of discussion in foreign language teaching today. In this article, the author traces the stages of evolution and change in FLT testing techniques in the U. S.
