转换生成语法在句法结构分析中的应用——试析“动词短语+(名词短语)+不定式短语”结构

Syntactic Structures Analyzed by the Application of the Transformational Grammar-An Analysis of“VP+(NP)+INFP”

一根据短语规则,动词短语由动词加其补语而构成,动词又依照它所跟的不同补语,即按出现的语境进行再分类,或称次范畴化。例如,不及物动词只能在小句的末尾出现(这样的语境可表示为[-#]),及物动词可以在[+——{(?)}]语境中出现。在词库中,每个动词的语境特征就象它的词类属性一样被标明出来。

This thesis attempts to analyze the sentence pattern 'VP+(NP) +INFP'in the light of Chomsky's Transformational Grammar.Pre- dicate verbs used in this pattern can have different syntactic relation with the infinitives followed.Although the surface structure in such sentences presents similarities,the deep structure varies.
