社会生活中,经济是基础,政治是经济的集中表现。宗教与政治相比,不能不居于隶属的、次要的地位。宗教不能等同于政治,政治也不等同于宗教。就伊斯兰教而言,它与政治同样有所区别。但不可否认的是。

Islam is a religion closely tied with politics. It Possesses very strong po- litical. vitality which tenaciously manifests itself in many aspects through various ways. The main reasons for such vitality to be born and persist lie in follows: First, the history of the rise of Islam proves it to be the product of religious revolution, and social reform in company; Second, the Koran provides. theoretical basis for Islam in bringing into play its political vigour; Third, Islam is in possession of a self-regulating mechanism; Fourth, no religious reform movement such as that of modern christianity has ever taken place in the history of Islam, so that Islam's political vitality could continue to give play in the original system of religion, and exert its impact on social life. Apart from the above-mentioned, there are are economic and political reasons which are more fundemental and direct. In recent years, some new elements and changes have emerged in the Islamic world, which have further stimulated Islam to demonstrate its political vitality.
