Exchange Rate, Foreign Trade and Strategy for Development of Shenzhen SEZ

本文分析了1985年1月以来人民币汇率两次大幅度下调给特区乃至全国进出口贸易带来的影响,指出了采取此项措施未能取得明显收效的诸因素,并据此提出了外汇市场与深圳经济特区发展战略的新构想。

This essay contributes an analysis over the influence on the import and export tradeof Shenzhen SEZ and the whole China brought about by the twice drastic devaluationsof RMB. It is pointed out that the fall of rate of exchange of RMB fails to achieve anyobvious positive result. The essay finally puts forth a new concept on foreign-exchangemarket and on the development strategy for Shenzhen SEZ.
