本文将国际货币体系分为四个阶段,并对各阶段的特点及其形成原因作了分析。文章纠正了传统的“黄金自动调节说”的误解,指出在缺乏单一金融中心的前提下,国际货币体系的稳定运转取决于西方主要国家的妥协和配合。各国利益的不一致及有关国家的近视做法是有损于国际性协调的,而此则为国际货币体系的动荡埋下了祸根。

This essay classifies the international monetary system into four stages for each ofwhich an analysis is made on the characteristics respectively. The traditional erroneousview of Gold-flow Mechanism is rectified. Instead the author points out that, when aunified financial center is lacking. the stability of international monetary system dependson the compromise and coordination of the major western powers. However,the contra-dictions among the interets of different countries and their short-sight policies areoxer-ting negative impact on the said inernational coordination, constituting the root-causeof the unstability in the international monetary system.
