试析中国三十年代的“土洋体育之争”

An Analysis of the Rivalry Between Traditional Chinese and Western Sports in China During the 1930s

本文试图通过对发生于中国三十年代“土洋体育之争”的分析,进一步探讨中国近代体育发展特色和规律性,以丰富中国体育史的研究成果,并为今天的体育事业提供某些历史借鉴。本文主要是在查阅有关历史资料和调查访问旧中国体育工作者的基础上进行研究探讨。经过整理资料、分析讨论,得出以下主要结论:“土洋体育之争”是中国近代体育史上不可避免的一场思想论争;争论的结果使中国传统体育与西方体育由抵牾走向融合。

By analysing the rivalry between traditional Chinese and Western sports which took place in China duringthe 1930s, this paper seeks to reveal the law of sporting development in modern China as part of the researchin Chinese sports history and with the aim of providing historical lessons that may be of use in promoting sportsin this country today. The methods used in this study include reference to historical documents and interviewswith those associated with sports in old China. The main conclusion derived from this study is: The rivalrybetween traditional Chinese and Western sports was an inevitable ideological struggle which led to the fusionof the two in China.
