In this comprehensive analysis of the basis for and develop-ment of Sino-U.S.relations in the last decade,the author ar-gue that the relations are based on the convergence of bothcountries'interests,that there is a large area in which the twocountries'national interests converge,and that,therefore,Sino—U.S.relations are expected to further develop despite differences and difficulties.
