洛阳孟津西山头唐墓发掘报告

Excavations of Tang Tombs at Xishantou, Mengjin, Luoyang

1991年夏秋,为配合310国道郑汴洛高等级公路工程建设,由河南省文物研究所、洛阳市文物工作队联合组成310国道孟津考古队,对310国道孟津段进行了考古发掘。9月份,在孟津县送庄乡西山头村东南1.5公里处的邙山坡地发掘了唐代墓葬4座。

The archaeologists excavated three Tang tombs in Xishantou village, Mengjin County, Luoyang City in 1991, all are one-chamber Catacombs. Tomb No. 64 is the largest one and preserved perfectly. There are ninty-two pieces of burial articles in it, including tricoloured glazed pottery, coloured-drawing pottery and pro-celain etc.. Among them, figures of tomb-guarding animal, scholar, official, warrior, horse, horse-rider, horse-leading man, attendant, camel are of the great majority. There are also some models and vessels for daily life. The archaeologists had unearthed a stone epitaph in the tomb, according to it, the owner was the grandson of the famous Tang Gerneral Qutu Tong, his mane is Qutu Jizha, he died at 13 and was buried in Wuzhou Tianshou Emian(A. D. 691). In tomb No. 80, there is also a stone epitaph, whose owner Lusi was re-buried in the tomb in Tianbao Jiunian (A. D. 751). According to the epitaph of No. 80, the owner of the tomb No. 81 maybe the husband of Lusi.
