汉代仕进制度“重文轻武”说存疑

The Question about “Valuing Literary Talent above Martial Arts” in the Promotion System of Officials in the Hart Dynasty

以往,不少涉及我国古代武术史的书籍和文章,都认为春秋战国时期的尚武风气,至汉代已转而“重文轻武”,其最突出的就是表现在汉代的仕进制度上。汉代武功的强大,为史家所首肯,这不能不与仕进制度有着紧密的联系。就汉代仕进制度看,“重文”与“轻武”并没有必然的联系,从总体上看,应该讲汉代仕进制度继春秋战国后对汉代武艺的演进和发展起着积极促进的作用。为此,笔者想从以下几个方面谈谈粗陋的看法,就正于方家。

Some scholars hold that “valuing literary talent above martial arts” in the promotion system of officials in the Han Dy-nasty had a negative effect on the development of martial arts at that time.However,the author thinks that as an importantpart of political system,the promotion system of officials in the Han Dynasty had a positive effect on the development ofmartial arts because it not only valued literary talent but also valued martial arts.
