Epidemiology and Prevention Strategies of Eye Injury in China

眼外伤已成为当今世界单眼盲和低视力的主要病因.眼外伤在国际眼科学术领域中处于被边缘化的地位,在我国则是单眼盲的首位致盲原因.眼外伤人口数目巨大,职业性眼外伤、道路交通伤害性眼外伤和儿童眼外伤的防治是该领域面临的主要公共卫生问题.我国目前尚缺乏以人口基数为基础的眼外伤发病率及致盲情况的系统资料,开展全国眼外伤患者的登记注册、建立眼外伤数据库和重视眼外伤防护措施实行是提高救治水平和有效预防眼外伤发生的重要步骤.

Eye injury was the major cause of single-blindness and low vision in the world．In China it Was the leading cause of si ngle-blindness although it has been marginalized in the international academicfield．Occupational eye injury, road traffic injury and children eye injury were the major public health problems. Population-based incidence of eye injury was rare in China．It is essential to establish a nationwide eye injury database and protective measures for prevention in the future．
