The Study of The Toxicity of Saturated And Unsaturated Lipid Extracted From Traditional Tibetan Medicine: Nerves-Soothing Pill

目的:研究藏成药安神丸饱和脂和不饱和脂提取物的毒副作用。方法:大鼠长期灌服较高剂量的脂提取物。结果:安神丸提取脂对大鼠的肝、肾功能、体重和重要脏器的生长发育以及肝、脾、肾细织结构均无明显的影响。结论:8周连续灌服上述脂提取物对大鼠重要器官无毒副作用。

Object: to study the toxicity of saturated and unsaturated lipid extracted from traditional Tibetan Medicine, Nerves-Soothing Pill. Method: two groups of Wistar rats were given ig saturated and unsaturated lipid for 4 weeks and 8 weeks respectively. Another group was given lipid for 8 weeks and then, withdrawn it for 4 weeks. Result: neither the development of the rats, nor the structure and function of some of their important organs was influenced by the extracted lipid. Conclusion: It would be safe to be given saturated and unsaturated lipid for 8 weeks.
