本文从建构主义理论和元认知理论出发,探讨网络环境下的英语自主学习的特点,培养学生元认知能力的策略和方法,提出以创建长沙医学院自主学习中心为突破口,开拓大学英语教改的新局面。

This paper based on an analysis of constructivism theory and metacognitive theory discusses characteristics of autonomous English learning,the strategy and the method of cultivating the student's metacog- nitive ability under the network environment,and proposes to set up a self-access English learning center in Changsha Medical college so as to create a new prospect for educational reform.
