摘要
存在句(existential sentences)是英语中的一种常用句型,其基本句法模式是:THERE＋BE＋NP＋(MOd.).
The existential sentence is one of common sentence patterns in the English language. Its general structure is THERE +BE+NP + (Mod.). In some scholars' opinion, the definite determiners can not appear in that NP; but the author thinks that in 15 cases the definite determiners can be used in the NP. The paper will discuss this problem.
