The Properties of Ramsey's Concept of Degree of Belief

本文揭示了拉姆齐信念度概念的性质,从而明确了信念度是如何被演绎的;同时指出,如果把“给定q条件下P的信念度”理解为“q蕴涵P”的信念度,那么任意命题P和q都是独立的,从而表明这样理解条件信念度概念是不恰当的。

This paper explores the properties of Ramsey's concept of degree of belief. Consequently, the deductive rules of the degree of belief are clarified. Moreover, we point out that it is not proper that the degree of belief in p given q is regarded as the degree of belief in q? p, since it will lead to the result that any proposition p is independent of q.
