摘要
光合作用一般指绿色植物依靠光能把二氧化碳和水同化为有机物、并放出氧气的过程。因为它与农业改善、能源开发密切相关,本世纪以来对它的研究获得巨大进展,成为一门综合性边缘学科。迄今为止,在光合作用研究中搞得最清楚的是碳同化机制,其中C<sub>3</sub>-途径——Calvin循环的阐明是该领域取得的最重要的成就;至于光能转变和放氧机制,目前仍处于探索之中。本文着重对碳同化机制研究的历史发展进行系统的探讨,力图从中引出一些值得借鉴的经验教训。
The mechanism of carbon dioxide reduction is one of the important problems in resear-
ching on photosynthesis. There had been a number of hypotheses. It was not until the 1940s
that great changes took place in our knowledge of photosynthesis with the advance in biochemi-
stry. At the same time, the use of radioactive carbon and paper chromatography provided ne-
cessary means for exploring the path of carbon reduction in photosynthesis. The completion
of Calvin's cycle resulted from the combination between the new idea about photosynthesis and
the new experimental technology. However, it is impossible for Calvin to discover the C_4-path.
