Conversation by Writings: Strengthen the Combination of Social Sciences with Nautral Sciences and Further Develop Marxism

A symposium was held on Mar. 19 in Beijing which concentrated on strengtheningthe researches of the inter-disciplinaries which combine the social sciences with naturalsciences. The sympopium was sponsored by the Association for the Journal of Dialec-tics of Nature, Academia Sinica. More than sixty scholars attended this meeting oninvitation. The discussion centralized on three topics. (1) What is the inter-disciplinary?(2) How the researches of the inter-disciplinaries have opened up a new path for thedevelopment of Marxist theories. (3) How to further build up the research contingent.After the discussion, the participants all agreed that it is the time now for the res-earchers of the inter-disciplinaries to produce valuable results for the society ratherthan remaining in the stage of advocacy. All the researchers engaging in this fieldshould work hard and persistently so as to promote the development of the inter-disciplinaries in China.
