摘要 Closely connected with the gentlefolk of the country houses is the professional man. He is often sprung from the same stock as the squire, and if he has attained to a substantial position and kept up his sportsmanlike interests, the squire feels no hesitation in associating with him, and may allow a son to marry his daughter without a qualm.
