The Propaganda and Popularization of the Mandarin Language in Colleges and Universities

高等院校是国家的重要文化基地 ,对社会语言文字状况有着重要的导向作用。做好高等院校普通话的宣传与推广工作是当前国家语言文字工作不可忽视的一个重要环节。

Popularizing the mandarin language is an important part of the program of improving the quality of the whole people, and it is, too, the key point to all sorts of schools to carry out quality education. Since college and universities are the essential education bases of our country, and plays an instructive role in spoken and written language learning in society, it is necessary to popularize the mandarin language in those schools. It composes an essential part in national spoken and written language learning. This paper tries to give some opinions of how to carry out well the program of popularizing the mandarin language in colleges and universities.
