摘要
Theacher Yang Jian was making his jubilantway through the school grounds, with a brand-new nylon cane chair held in both hands. The lightyellow tint of the chair glittered in the rays of thesetting sun, while his eyebrows and eyes still sport-ed the crescent shapes into which they had beenarched the moment he emerged from the generalaffairs office. As he came into the building serv-ing as the teachers’ living quarters-cum-offices,even the hard cement staircase felt the spring ofhis steps.
