在拿破仑改革和工业革命刺激下,莱茵地区产生了以现代工业文明为特征的莱茵文明,培育了一批依靠家族产业发展起来的德意志工业家和现代工业资产阶级,标志着莱茵资产阶级自由派的诞生。莱茵资产阶级自由派开始登上政治舞台,并领导统一和自由运动。德国民族主义运动由此进入新阶段,为1848年德意志革命准备了基础条件。

Under the stimulus of the Napoleonic reform and the industrial revolution, the Rhine civilization characterized by modern industrial civilization in Rhine emerged, which cultivated a number of German industrialists dependent on the development of the family business and modern industrial bourgeoisie marking the birth of Bourgeois liberals in Rhine. Bourgeois liberals in Rhine began to appear on the political stage, and led the 'unity and freedom' movement. German nationalist movement thus entered a new stage,and prepared the conditions and basis for the German revolution of 1848.
