This article discusses the basic principles and mechanisms of the online security and stability analysis system of Central China Power Grid,finds weak points and risks of grid operation online, and gives the auxiliary control strategy.The expected grid mode and emergency state can also be analyzed and evaluated in the online research mode.And the control strategies can be prepared in advance at the same time.The system improves the ability of the grid safe operation and reduces the risk of large-scale power outages greatly.As example,the UHV lines are analyzed and discussed in detail. The features of the system are verified,which provided the in-depth research tools for the dispatching and control of the power grid.
