As a marginalized literary form,African-American drama has experienced a process of imitation,absorption,resistance and self-definition,and it entered its heyday in the Second World War. During this period,a large number of excellent black women writers emerged in American history. In fact,they have made tremendous contributions to promoting the integration and development of African-American drama and the theory of feminist criticism.
