Cylinder head bolts are mainly used to connect the cylinder head with the cylinder body. The degree of their pretension and the dismounting process are directly related to the life of cylinder head. Analysis on internal force distribution within the cylinder head and exposure of causes of the damage to the cylinder head due to the false dismounting process conduce to deepen correct understanding of this process.
