herishing the lofty ideal of“rnaking people rich”,the author began with the researches onthe countryside ,moved to the study of the town ,and ended in the exploration of regional econom-ic developrnent. In this article, the author sums up the course of his community researches oversixty years。 Today,in view of the major trend of the development of the world economy,workingtogether with his colleagues,the author is determined to contribute as much as he can in makingChina a strong econornic power。
