摘要
在过去几十年里,人们在听力课教学中对录音材料的处理方法大致上是先让学生听一段3—5分钟的录音,然后让学生回答3—5个与录音内容或其中某些词所指的对象(reference)有关的问题(填空题或选择题)。这种做法与其说是一种教学模式,倒不如说是一种测试听力与记忆力的方法。学生在上课前并没有因信息缺乏而感到有主动参与的需要,在听的过程中也缺少获取信息的内发动机;
Understanding spoken English is a complicated psychological process which involves a mumber of linguistic skills. These linguisitc skills contribute to the process of decoding and re-encoding whereby learners of English can extract the information encoded in the spoken propose. The re-encoding process is similiar to the process of putting verbal information together to produce spoken prose. Therefore, it is possible to combine the teaching of listening and speaking skills by using an information-based approach in the classroom.
