英语的不断国际化和本土化在世界各地已引发出日益尖锐的矛盾。对世界诸英语和文化移入等问题的研究自七十年代末以来已成为国际语言学界的一项重要课题。本文对这一新兴领域的形成和发展作了扼要介绍,并对英语的传播在社会、文化、语言、认知和教育等层面给世界各国所造成的冲击作了详细阐述和评析。

Native speakers of English seem to have lost their exclusive prerogative to control the standardization of the language. After a brief survey of the great variety of the idiom,the paper focuses on the various problems,sociolinguistic,cultural,pedagogical and theoretical,caused by the spread of Englishes as international and intranational languages.
