On the Orientation of Ethical Value in To-day's Chinese Society

当今中国社会的伦理价值导向是一个争议颇多的问题。个人本位主义、合理利己主义、虚假的集体主义等等，由于其种种局限性，不能作为现时代的伦理价值导向。“新集体主义”的道德原则，一方面摈弃了无视个人利益、目的与手段错位的虚假的集体主义的说教，另一方面，它以利益作为现实的基础，以个体的自由全面发展作为其出发点和归宿，是个性实现的必要条件。这一新集体主义原则在商品经济条件下表现为一种互利的现实原则，应该成为当今社会的伦理价值导向。

The orientation of ethical value in to-day's Chinese society is a controversial issue. The individual selfish departmentalism, rational egoism, false collectivism, and the like cannot be the contemporary orientation of ethical value on account of their various limitations. The moral principle of new collectivism casts away the preaching of false collectivism ignoring the interests of the individual and confusing the end and the means, regards the interests as the actual foundation, considers the free and all-sided development of the individual as the starting point and the end result, and is the necessary condition for actualization of the individuality. Under the conditions of market economy this principle expresses a actual one of mutual benefit and should become the orientation of ethical value in to-day's society.
