Self-help tourism refers to the tourists conducting tourism activities according to their own selected itinerarieswithout any help from tour guides. Developing self-help tourism in the scenic spots is something new in China. This isa sign showing that China's tourism industry is gradually becoming mature. The article points out that the rapid development of FIT market has called for some new requirements of the service of self-help tourism objectively and thescenic spots boast the best requisite for the development of self-help tourism. In view of this,the article emphaticallyexpounds the design principle of the development of self-help tourism Products,and furthermore,using the tourism development in the Xi jiaoshan Scenic Spot of Nanhai City, Guangdong Province as an example, discusses the designmethods of self-help tourism products in the scenic spots.
