摘要
近年来,香港考古的成果越来越引起国内考古学界的兴趣,安志敏就香港考古的历史与现状,对有关文化的分期,命名和历史渊源提出意见。
The author holds that archaeologists of Hong Kong should not limit their talk to topics like 'phase' and 'period'. They need to think more about the cultural dimension. In his view, the Shaqiu site was a product of certain geographic environment, thus having much in common with other hillside, shell mound and cave sites of the same geographic area. So, it should not be treated as if it was alone. As for the Dawan culture, it should not be labelled 'culture of painted pottery', although painted pottery is indeed one of its traits. Discovery of ivory Zhang plaque at the Dawan site provides new stuffs for a comprehensive study of the subject. Judging by the remains uncovered, the ancient culture of Hong Kong was closely knit into that of China proper.
