元宁远务关防课税条印音释

Phonological Studies on a Tariff Seal in Phagspa Script from Ningyuan

蔡美彪对湖南宁远出土的八思巴文宁远务铜官押的印文做了读释,并对元代的印章制度进行考察,认为应定名为“宁远务关防课税条印”。

The present essay presents itself as a phonological inquiry into the bronze seal in the Phagspa script published in the 6th issue of Wenwu. The Han script and Phagspa script used to come together during the Yuan dynasty in one of the following two situations: two versions of one text, and one text written in both language but not at the same time, just as in the case of the this seal. The seal should be regarded as a tariff one according to author's discussion on the inscriptions in the context of the whole seal system of the Yuan dynasty.
