This article divides the whole period after independence into 4 stages for a study ofIndia’s balance of payments and then analyses the measures the indian Governments havetaken to solve the problems of India’s Balance of Payments and the debates about this matter. According to the author, there will be a bright future for the balancing of India’s balance of payments.
