On Founding an English-BasedInternational Language

为了加强各国人民的文化交流，促进世界和平，本文提出创建一种英基国际语的建议．该国际语以英语为基础，同时吸取了其他主要语言的优点，其特点是易学，便于推广；表达能力丰富，文字优美，语言动听，适用于各种场合．文中就英基国际语的语音、词和语句构造基本原则提出了设想．

With a view to promoting cultural exchanges among various peoples and realizingworld peace, the author proposes the establishment of a international language with Englishas the foundation. with English as the base,this international language should also takein the merits of other major languages. The features of that language should bc: easyto learn, easy to popularize, rich in expressive force, beautiful when written,ear-pleasing when spoken,and suitable for all situations of usaqe, The author putsforth some blue print for the phonological, lexical and syntactical structure of the saidinternational language.
