AbstractGuinea's economic structural adjustment has been over 7 years, starting from the end of 1985. As a whole, it has produced mixed effects, but with moreadvantages than disadvantages. In the course of the track-change of the Guinean economy from 'the non-capitalist road' to' the free economy', the adjustment of planning played its role of contigency, availing the government of the means for an all-round reform of the national economy, thus enabling the country to reestablish a new economic structure within a relatively short period and achieve a relatively quick recovery and development of the economy which was on the brink of collapse.The objectives of Guinea's econmic structural adjustmet are: First, to pursue the policy of libera;ozatopm and realize the change of track of the economic system; Second, to carry out the policy of privatization and reduce the interference of the state with the economic activities and ultimately to free the state from them; Third, to pursue practical and active pricing policy, that is, to enhance the role of market mechanism through the economic levery such as theexchange rate, interest rate, tax rate and commodity prices,etc; Fourth, to in increase the government's efficiency through administrative and financial reforms,and ultimately bring about the rejuvenation of the national economy.
