The article, in accordance with the characteristics of tourism education and the present state of tourism in Yunnan Province, tries to discuss four aspects concerning the professional system of tourism education, the strata and scales of the tourism educational system, the integration of in-school education with professional training, the cultivation of tourism consciousness and socialization of the tourism educational system. It offers some instructive suggestions on the future development of tourism education.
