A Discussionon Indirect Speech Act Theory in English Teaching and Learning

由赛尔提出的间接言语行为理论是国内外最前沿的语言学理论之一。本文首先诠释了间接言语行为在交际中的表达形式与功能,然后针对在英语教学与学习中怎样应用间接言语行为理论提出了一些建议,其目的是为了让学生有技巧的应用各种英语句型来表达他们的说话意图,同时教师也需要教授一些英语间接言语行为知识和间接交际的策略。

Indirect Speech Act Theory put forward by J.R.Searle has been one of the most front –line linguistic theories both abroad and at home. This essay firstly expounds the expressing forms and functions of Indirect Speech Act Theory in communication. Then the paper raises some suggestions on how to apply this theory in English Teaching and learning in order that students skillfully employ various English patterns to express their purposes and meanwhile they need teaching something on English indirect speech act as well as indirect communicative strategies.
