In this article, the writer analyses the personality characteristics of John Milton and Luxun respectively from their own emotions, minds and conducts and points out that Luxun is a modern essayist with the inclinations of modern scientists and artists, while Milton is a humanist with the pious religious belief. The writer further analyses how their personalities were formed under their respective background characteristic of their times.
