９０年代以来社会发展理论研究在中国呈现出这样一些基本走向：理论研究拓宽了新的领域；理论探讨从介绍性转向研究性；理论研究具有强烈的实践性；研究方法趋于综合性。本文紧紧围绕发展观、发展的道路、发展的方式、发展的动力与阻力、发展的代价等重大理论问题的研究状况展开评述，并认为，发展哲学的兴起将成为发展理论发展的基本趋势。

Abstract This article mainly reviews the major trends Of researches in the theory of social development in the demesticacademic circles in the 1990s, has showed: the theoretical research opens up new fields i the theoretical explorationtransforms from introductory to profound study; the theoretical research shows strong practicality; the methodof research tends to become synthetic. The article develops around important problems such as the concept of development, the road of development, the way of development, the motive force and resistance of development,'the price of development, etc. The article reaches the conclusion that the rise of developmental philosophy willbecome the main trend in developing the theory of development.
