摘要
本文从语用学的角度论述英语照应中出现的“句法冲突”和语义关系的复杂性,认为语法理论的指代规则并非铁板一块,并强调语境在照应中的作用。
This paper is concerned with 'syntax clash' and 'complex semantic relations' within a framework of anaphora. It shows that an adequate explanation for these two problems must make reference to pragmatic elements and, in particular, to the role that context plays in anaphora.
