A Survey of the Researches on the History of Macao

一、早期中西文献的记载1.《明史·佛朗机传》 十六世纪新航路开通后,西人接踵来华,而有关“西人东来事迹,吾国史书,多述其事,然散出群籍,检寻未易。清初纂修《明史》,尤西堂(侗)任纂外国各传,始采集前人所述,汇归为佛郎机、吕宋、和兰、欧罗巴四传(见《西堂馀集·明史外国传》)。厥后万季野(斯同)以布衣参史局,于西堂旧稿,重加釐定,损益颇多;且易欧罗巴为意大里亚(现存万季野史稿可参考)。王鸿绪《横云山人史稿》取季野之文,而稍点窜其文句,而于史实则无更易。张廷玉主修《明史》,复取王氏《史稿》而删定之,遂成今本《明史》四传,世之谈欧亚交通史者。

This article makes a survey of the researches on the history of Macao from the 16th century to present. The author analysed the characteristics and trends in the studies of the history of Macao and.emphasized the necessity for cooperation and mutual assistance between Chinese and Portuguese historians of Macao.
