摘要
学术的发展需要学术批评,在一个太多的是奉承的氛围中,更是需要这种批评。所以,最近有几位同志直率地对我的一篇文章提出批评,这是十分令人高兴的。也正是由于他们的批评,才促使我对近年来国际上关于人类起源问题的研究进展作一些必要的总结。
The author points out that the topic of 'walking erectly' is , in reality, related to various disciplines such as anthropology, anatomy, palaeontology, animal behaviour and paleoecology. He sustains that the researches have revealed in the 20th century that the origin and development of mankind is not merely rectilinear as precedently imagined . The author emphasizes that his interest is about the way by which the modern sciences deal with the origin of mankind and the transformation of certain traditional ideas caused by achievements of modern sciences.
