在人与自然的关系上，以往人类的思维方式实质是一种功利型的思维方式，这种思维方式是造成当今生态危机的一个重要原因。随着生态危机的加剧和生产方式、生活方式生态化发展趋势的出现，人类的思维方式必须进行革命性变革，而这种变革的关键则是实现由功利型思维方式向互利型思维方式的转变。

The way of thinking of human beings used to be utilitarian in nature, which is one of the major causes of the present ecological crisis. With the worsening of the ecological crisis and the emergence of the tendency for modes of production and ways of life to develop ecologically the way of thinking of human beings must necessarily make a revolution, the crux of which is the transition from a utilitarian way of thinking to a mutually beneficial way of thinking.
