Special Causes of and Counter-measures Against China's Inflation at the Present Stage

由于影响经济运行的各种基本因素发生了变化，我国当前出现的通货膨胀的特点和机理与８０年代相比出现了显著的不同。其根本原因在于市场机制的不健全和竞争的不充分性，困而治理通货膨胀应本着坚定、逐步和稳定的方针，采取切实有力的措施。

Owing to the changes in various basic factors which influence theeconomic operation, the current inflation in China has some obvious difference fromthat in '80s in terms of characteistics and operational mechanism. The fundamentalcauses of the present inflation lie in the unhealthy market system and the insufficientcompetition. Therefore, a firm, gradual and stable policy should be adopted incoping with inflation while taking workable effective measures.
