Intentionality which reflects the writer's attitudes in his writing process is a very important standard for critical discourse analysis.It determines the language strategy of a text as well as its forms,textually or non-textually.And it influences the effect of the discourse communication.News reports usually have a strong intentionality.Analyzing the language of a certain piece of news report may reveal its intentionality.
